Monument Valley is a vast expanse of land that strattles the border of Arizona and Utah on the Navajo Nation. There is a small fee to visit the park and travel the well travelled roads of all the other visitors but the best views can be had by hiring a Navajo guide and getting out in a 4WD vehicle. The red mesas, buttes and arches are best photographed at the two ends of the day. I took a sunrise and sunset tour and captured this image about 30 minutes after sunrise.
